Emily came in stop-motion late! She studied film at Columbia College, Hollywood. She produced commercial and visual effects in Hong Kong and Toronto for many years. With a sense of passion, Emily learned an 11-week stop-motion course in Aardman, Bristol England in 2002. Since then she keep on making animated short films. She is a resident artist in JCCAC Hong Kong since 2008, an important period of creation in her life. She resided in the Artsite of Railway Warehouse in Hsinchu, Taiwan in 2022. Her stop-motion films have been invited to participate in more than seventy international film festivals and have won some awards.
定格動畫是Emily遲來的學習，當中用手細緻創作的過程適合她在藝術上的表達。 她先在好萊塢哥倫比亞大學修讀電影和電視，拍了一段五分鐘定格動畫短片，之後在香港和多倫多製作廣告和視覺效果多年， 一直希望可再創作動畫。趁着仍充滿動力時，她飛去英國Bristol的Aardman學習一個為期 11 週的定格動畫課程，從此創作作動畫短片及從事定格動畫教育。2008年起常駐香港賽馬會創意藝術中心（JCCAC) ，2022年在台灣新竹鐵道藝術村進行駐場藝術交流項目。 她的定格動畫短片曾受邀參加七十多個國際電影節，並獲得多項獎項。***
